Titus 1:7-9 …be blameless, as a steward of God, … hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
Founding Father Quote: “The time has come that Christians must vote for honest men and take consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse them. . . . Christians have been exceedingly guilty in this matter. But the time has come when they must act differently. . . . Christians seem to act as if they thought God did not see what they do in politics. But I tell you He does see it, and He will bless or curse this nation according to the course they [Christians] take [in politics].” -Charles Finney
Prayer: Lord, You are always just, merciful, loving and wise. Your Word says that You are the same yesterday, today and forever. You are unchanging and Your mercy is renewed for us each and every morning. Your love for us never fails. But we have failed You, and ask for Your forgiveness. We have not been steadfast in our choices, always making the extra effort to stand for what is right and pure. May we live according to the example You have sent in Your Word. May our light so shine before men that all would see and know Your glory, that all would seek Your salvation. We will no longer allow the mandates of society or busy schedules to allow us to slip into a place of complacency. From this day forth, we choose to vote according to the commands found in Your Word. We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ! Amen.
Proverbs 11:3 The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
Founding Father Quote: “Integrity takes a stronger hold of the human heart than any other virtue. By integrity, I mean a strict consistency between thoughts, words and actions.” - Benjamin Rush, Signer of the Declaration of Independence, “Father of Public Schools Under the Constitution.”
Prayer: Lord Jesus, You have allowed man to be placed in a position of authority over nature, marriage, business, ministry and government. Your word is very clear that integrity is necessary for successful leadership. Shamefully, the average American has been more influenced by modern technology and media outlets than by Your Word. We spend more time entertaining ourselves than we do seeking Your will for our lives. We ask forgiveness for not putting You first, for not seeking those things that honor you before seeking our own pleasure. We ask that you begin to strengthen the moral fiber of our nation as we firmly take a stance on the promises found in Your Word. May You be glorified in our successes, and lifted up by our thoughts, words and deeds. As the spiritual leaders of our homes, may we honor You with our own families first, and may our hunger and thirst for You spread throughout our nation. We praise Your holy name, Amen.
Target: Public Servants
Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”
Founding Father Quote: “The man who is conscientiously doing his duty will ever be protected by that righteous and all powerful Being; and when he has finished his work, he will receive an ample reward.”
Prayer: O Lord, thank You for our American form of government which allows the common citizen to rise to positions of influence. We ask Your forgiveness for not being good stewards over this great privilege. While righteousness exalts a nation, we have fallen into a spirit of complacency. We have taken so much for granted and allowed our public offices to become occupied by the ungodly. We have failed to speak out, to vote, to educate others on the Biblical principles surrounding Election Day. Forgive us, Father, for not actively seeking You regarding public affairs. Give our public servants the mind of Christ, that they might use their authority for good. We ask that our leaders seek Your plans for our country, our states, our cities. May we exalt You in our public hallways; may Your name constantly be on our lips. We praise You as the one true God, for Your mercy and Your faithfulness to us, an undeserving people. We ask for wisdom to saturate every man and woman in a place of authority, so that this nation can return to her first love, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. May we build a stronger America for the sake of our children, and our children’s children. As we enter election season, may You begin to prepare men and women who have a heart to not only hear, but act upon the promises found in Your Word. May these anointed leaders be placed in offices You have designed for them, that we might rise up again as the world’s strongest nation, one nation under God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Psalm 25:22 “Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all their troubles!”
Abigail Adams, the wife of one American President and the mother of another, knew the omnipotent power of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob:
“The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; but the God of Israel is He that giveth strength and power unto His people. Trust in Him at all times, ye people; pour out your hearts before Him; God is a refuge for us.”
Jehovah God, You alone are able to protect Israel from the enemies that constantly surround her on every side, attacking from every angle. Open the eyes of her adversaries, that they might be able to clearly see that Israel is the apple of Your eye, a holy city created by Your divine hand. Lord, we know that Israel resides under the shadow of the Almighty. May our nation come to be the strong earthly support that she needs in her darkest hour. May we not forsake Jerusalem and instead begin the daily ritual of praying for her peace, as Your word commands. Let the world know that there is no God like Jehovah and You have not forgotten Your people. For He who keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. Amen.

Target: Work Ethic
Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work…
The industrious George Washington Carver said, “I shall be glad to cooperate with you in doing all I can through Christ who strengthens me to better the condition of our people.” He understood God’s will for man to be productive citizens.
Father in Heaven, we come before you today, asking forgiveness for not obeying Your command to work diligently until the day of Your return. We are commanded to seek You first, and we have sought the pleasures of our flesh instead. We ask Your forgiveness for being lazy and self-serving. Starting today, may everything we do bring honor and glory only to You. May we bring You pleasure through the fruits of our labor. Lord, within our government, spark a legislative movement to bring accountability to these United States once again. From the strongest of our members to the weakest, may we come to experience You in a very real way. May we worship you in our jobs, setting a Godly example as a shining light for all to see. We pray for those enslaved by our welfare system; may they come to know what true freedom is, and that it can only be found in You. Ignite in us a deep desire to honor You in all that we do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
