Target: Illegal Immigration
Lamentations 5:1-2 Remember, O LORD, what has come upon us; Look, and behold our reproach! Our inheritance has been turned over to aliens, And our houses to foreigners.
Founding Father Quote: “No country upon earth ever had it more in its power to attain blessings than United America. Much to be regretted would it be were we to neglect the means to depart from the road which Providence has pointed us to so plainly. I cannot believe it will ever come to pass.” -George Washington
Prayer: Father God, we have become complacent and neglected to protect our precious “American way of life.” Our Founding Fathers used direct quotes from the Bible in 34% of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The cornerstones of our very existence as a nation are based upon Biblical principles. These formidable documents were intended to encourage Americans to live their lives according to Your Word or forfeit our blessings to the enemy. Forgive us for allowing unrighteousness to infiltrate our society and to threaten our very existence. We have not been good stewards of our borders. Help us to secure our national borders and enforce the immigration laws currently in place. May those wishing to become a part of our United States choose to enter legally, and may they bring with them a deep respect for our Judeo-Christian values. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
Target: Public Servants
Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”
Founding Father Quote: “The man who is conscientiously doing his duty will ever be protected by that righteous and all powerful Being; and when he has finished his work, he will receive an ample reward.”
Prayer: O Lord, thank You for our American form of government which allows the common citizen to rise to positions of influence. We ask Your forgiveness for not being good stewards over this great privilege. While righteousness exalts a nation, we have fallen into a spirit of complacency. We have taken so much for granted and allowed our public offices to become occupied by the ungodly. We have failed to speak out, to vote, to educate others on the Biblical principles surrounding Election Day. Forgive us, Father, for not actively seeking You regarding public affairs. Give our public servants the mind of Christ, that they might use their authority for good. We ask that our leaders seek Your plans for our country, our states, our cities. May we exalt You in our public hallways; may Your name constantly be on our lips. We praise You as the one true God, for Your mercy and Your faithfulness to us, an undeserving people. We ask for wisdom to saturate every man and woman in a place of authority, so that this nation can return to her first love, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. May we build a stronger America for the sake of our children, and our children’s children. As we enter election season, may You begin to prepare men and women who have a heart to not only hear, but act upon the promises found in Your Word. May these anointed leaders be placed in offices You have designed for them, that we might rise up again as the world’s strongest nation, one nation under God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Target: Work Ethic
Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work…
The industrious George Washington Carver said, “I shall be glad to cooperate with you in doing all I can through Christ who strengthens me to better the condition of our people.” He understood God’s will for man to be productive citizens.
Father in Heaven, we come before you today, asking forgiveness for not obeying Your command to work diligently until the day of Your return. We are commanded to seek You first, and we have sought the pleasures of our flesh instead. We ask Your forgiveness for being lazy and self-serving. Starting today, may everything we do bring honor and glory only to You. May we bring You pleasure through the fruits of our labor. Lord, within our government, spark a legislative movement to bring accountability to these United States once again. From the strongest of our members to the weakest, may we come to experience You in a very real way. May we worship you in our jobs, setting a Godly example as a shining light for all to see. We pray for those enslaved by our welfare system; may they come to know what true freedom is, and that it can only be found in You. Ignite in us a deep desire to honor You in all that we do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thank you John Hagee Ministries for these daily prayers and thoughts.
