Target: Understanding American Government
Romans 1:28 even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

Prayer: Father in Heaven, You have given us a form of government that works for the good of the people if the system is not abused, if the people who are placed in positions of power honor the commands found in Your holy Word. Clearly we have wandered far from the precepts found in the Bible, and we are a nation in need of a Savior. We humbly ask that this be the year for change in our great nation. May America be restored to her former glory, as we honor You for the good things You have so graciously bestowed upon us. May the government of these United States be shaken to her very foundation until each member comes to know You as Lord and Savior. May Jehovah God once again rule and reign in these United States. Amen.

Target: Future Hope

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Your Word says that Your desire for us is peace and not evil, to give us a future and a hope. Without You we have no hope. But through the blood of Jesus Christ we have been redeemed and are a people with a rich inheritance, if we will only acknowledge the One true God. America has all but kicked You out. We ask You to forgive us for that, and to restore us once again to a nation that honors You. Your Word says, “Hope thou in God.” We place our lives, our country, our children, all that we are in Your capable hands, acknowledging that we are a weak people. In You, our weaknesses, You are made strong. We ask that You outstretch Your mighty arm and cover us with Your righteousness. May the bright hope for tomorrow grant us peace for today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer: Dear God, today our country is suffering from the overwhelming burden of crime and immorality. Our lack of integrity threatens the sanctity of a peaceful life that we know is found only in You. Lord, turn the hearts of every judge in the U.S. Judiciary, from the local to the national level. May each man and woman seek Your face in the laws they are making and upholding. May You grant them the wisdom of Solomon. Protect their minds and hearts from deception and make them single-minded, not wavering in their faith. We thank You for our system of checks and balances and ask that You restore and preserve it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Target: Protection from Division

Prayer: Father, we ask that You give us the courage to stand against the schemes of the devil. May we put on the whole armor of God and stand fearless before any attacker. Our fight is not only on this earth with mere flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness in high places. We ask that You go to battle on our behalf, that you protect us from falling prey to those who would gloat at our destruction. We ask that You bind the evil one in these last days, and that we would once again come together in Christian unity, loving one another as Christ loved the church. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Target: National Unity

Prayer: Lord, Your Word says that where two or more come together, there You are in the midst of them. We come together now and thank You for all the good and perfect gifts You have given us. We know that You are our only hope for national reform, and in You we move and live and have our being. Without You we are nothing. We ask You, Heavenly Father, to unite us as one nation under God again. We need to become a strong united front for righteousness in our country so that we can defeat the foes that constantly plague us. Instead of focusing on foreign enemies, we have turned inward and begun to fight amongst our own brothers. Please forgive us for our foolish choices, for choosing petty arguments over harmony. May we be reconciled to each other, and may Your love be the healing balm that makes this country great once again. In Your Son’s Name we pray and ask. Amen.
