Purity is such an important issue as our kids grow. As a nation we are bombarded with images and ideas that encourage us to ignore pure
thoughts and give in to sin. Living a pure life will mean less heart ache, better and truer relationships and friendships. It will allow them to be closer to Father with less “gunk” filling their hearts.
A pure mind and heart will be shown through their actions. Ezekiel
17:8 is says, “It had been planted in good soil by abundant water so
that it would produce branches, bear fruit and become a splendid
vine.” If their hearts are getting filled with spiritual truths and
they are guarding their hearts and minds they will bear good fruit.
Let’s work on being more mindful in what we watch, say, wear, and
listen to in front of our kids to make sure that we are leading them
as a strong, pure example.
I love how each day, the previous days topic is needed to support the
current day’s topic. Our kids need courage in order to love out a life
of purity. They need courage to stand up to their peers. We really are
building a great foundation for our kids this month. Each spiritual
truth prayed over them stacks on top of the last and is building in
them in strength to live out each of these principles.
